Jim Van Schaack designed the Van Schaack family home in Tarzana, California and they moved into their new home in Tarzana in 1967. They lived in their Tarzana home until they moved to Laguna Niguel in 1998.

Van Schaack Family Attending the 1960 Rose Parade
The Van Schaack Family attending the Rose Parade in 1960. They saw Vice President Nixon as the Grand Marshal and the Rose Queen, Margarethe Bertelson, and her court. Also seen was cowboy actor and famous Californian, Leo Carillo. The Rose Bowl game was played between the Washington Huskies and the Wisconsin Badgers and the score was Huskies 44 to badgers 8. “It was a cold morning, but we all had fun.”
