In 1989 Jim and Joyce Van Schaack visited Italy. They began their trip in Milan and worked their way south to Sorrento. They visited an early shopping mall, a great cathedral, saw a statue of Leonardo Di Vinci. visited a palace in Milan. In Genoa they visited an early home of Christopher Columbus. The went to the Baptistery and the Cathedral in Pisa and the leaning bell tower.
Next they toured to the beautiful city of Florence and went on to tour Rome. Next they went to the city of Capri and then to Pompeii, Venice and next they stayed in a hotel near Lake Maggori.
