Jim Van Schaack and Joyce Van Schaack visited Paris France in 1978. Jim Van Schaack and Joyce Van Schaack visited Paris France in 1978. Among other things they visited the Arc de Triomphe, the French was memorial. They visited the Eiffel Tower which was constructed for the 1889 Paris Exposition and Basilique de Sacre Coeur which was consecrated in 1918 after WW1. Construction began in 1975 and was completed in 1914.

Catheral Notre Dome de Paris was constructed between 1163 and was largely completed by 1260. During the French Revolution much of the religious imagery was stolen or damaged. While we were making this video, the unthinkable happened, and the Cathedral of Notre Dome in Paris was burned. They visited the very famous art museum, The Louvre Museum and discovered that the building is a beautiful as the art it displays. The also visit a famous Paris department store, which Jim could appreciate as a store designer.
